YAMAHA HPDI

We only use genuine Yamaha replacement parts and seals. Yamaha is very proud of the replacement components in their HPDI fuel injectors, and it reflects in their pricing. The base of each injector requires a pair of non-reuseable, high pressure sealing washers which cost $11.49 each (each injector requires two), the upper o-ring is $3.50, and the filter is several dollars. This is the reason for the additional service costs with their injectors.

MERCURY OPTIMAX

THERE ARE TWO INJECTORS PER CYLINDER IN THE OPTIMAX ENGINE. THE SIDE FEED FUEL INJECTOR STACKED ON TOP OF THE DIRECT INJECTOR AIR INJECTOR. THE SYSTEM INJECTS FUEL INTO THE AIR INJECTOR, WHICH IS PRESSURIZED BY AN ENGINE DRIVEN COMPRESSOR AND INJECTED INTO THE ENGINE. WE ONLY USE GENUINE MERCURY AND QUICKSILVER REPLACEMENT PARTS AND SEALS. LIKE YAMAHA, MERCURY IS VERY PROUD OF THEIR REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS TOO. THE SERVICE KIT (WHICH IS 2 O-RINGS AND A TEFLON SEAL) COST $23 PER INJECTOR. EACH FUEL INJECTOR IS PRICED AT THE TOP FEED/SIDE FEED RATE, PLUS THE AIR INJECTOR.
